Hidden Treasures, Mysteries, and Sea Monsters...In a Creek

Image
So this is Ernie's Trail in Wyomia Tyus Park . Shane and I were walking through the amazing nature trails at a local park where we live and we came across a cute little bridge. We stopped for a minute and looked over the rails at the multitude of moss covered rocks and pebbles beneath us. The water trickled over them invitingly, as if saying,"Come explore!" Instantly, we were both transported back to our childhoods and the adventures we would have in creeks just like this one. Shane laughed and said, "Oh, wow! I remember when I was a kid, how I would spend HOURS down in there climbing all over, turning over rocks and..." "..And looking for salamanders and crawdads and getting soaking wet!" I finished his sentence and we both laughed and reminisced about all the things we would do in creeks like this one.  Then, he said something that kinda hurt my heart a little... He looked over the edge of the bridge again and said, "You know, I pr...

Every Tuesday, the leadership at VOICE to the nation gathers to pray and intercede for our city, its officials, our country and officials, this generation, our own leadership, and a host of other things that will rock this land. During prayer last week (yes, it has taken me a WEEK to get this blog done...), I was in the midst of praying for God to manifest His glory and to release miracles thru His ppl...mainly this generation...praying in english and in my spirit language and I kept repeating "Huhbuckuh.." over and over and over...I was kind of confused. #1) My prayer language is not normally super repetitive. #2) Usually when it DOES repeat(for me)He's telling me something or drawing me into something. This was weird tho...bc I could ALMOST understand what was being said...It was vague...like I had heard it before... "hubuckuh...huh..back..up..?" Then it clicked, haha. "OH! Ha.BAK.kuk! You want me to go to Habakkuk, haha! Ok. Here I go....

Letter Boxing

Letter Boxing... Hmmm.... Several of our friends are AVID letter-boxers and have told us the MANY stories of discovery adn adventure that goes along with this "sport". For those of you who have NO idea WHAT the heck letter-boxing is, here is a quick lesson (Copied and Pasted): Letterboxing is an intriguing mix of treasure hunting, art, navigation, and exploring interesting, scenic, and sometimes remote places . It takes the ancient custom of placing a rock on a cairn upon reaching the summit of a mountain to an artform. It started when a gentleman simply left his calling card in a bottle by a remote pool on the moors of Dartmoor, in England. Here's the basic idea : Someone hides a waterproof box somewhere (in a beautiful, interesting, or remote location) containing at least a logbook and a carved rubber stamp, and perhaps other goodies. The hider then usually writes directions to the box (called "clues" or "the map...

Must. Have. Metalllllllllll. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! So....Daddy has been working on me about letting people into my life...thus the blog. But I have this habit of letting ppl into what's going on in our lives, but not letting them in to MY life. SO! I'm going to let you all in on "me"....well, kinda....hey, it's a process, ok?  I'm letting you in on something I've been dealing with...may not be big to any of you out there, but to me? This is hugonic. Annnnnd here it is: I love music. I love metal. I love classical. I love jazz. I love gospel. I love reggae. I love blues. I love punk rock. I love ska. I love hardcore. I love contemporary chrisitan....get the picture? I love music...all of it. And I'm gifted in most of it....and it wouldnt take much study for me to be gifted in all. For a while, I've been craving a little more than what I'm operating in and it's been really difficult.   ...

Burning Ones

God showed me something last night in Youth...    I saw Moses and the elders around the mountain.     Moses went up but God said the elders were to stay behind.   Then Pastor Keith started talking about Moses and Joshua going up the mountain into the the cloud and I kept hearing, "They are the ones...they are the ones...they are the ones..." over and over...   I felt like a babbling idiot because all I co uld seem to say was, "You are the ones...If not you, then where will we be...we need you...we need your anointings...you are the ones...you are the ones"   I had this overwhelming urgency that they(this younger generation) must ascend...they must ascend...they MUST ascend...   Then as PK was speaking, I heard the Uncreated One say, "They will go father than you will ever go."   I was so excited!! Then, quite honestly, so disappointed and kinda hurt because...well...I'm selfish with Him. ...

Random...HA! I Never Thought Of It That Way!

Ex 6: 2-3   2 "God also said to Moses, 'I am the Lord. 3 I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD, I did not make myself known to them..." Ex 15:1 - 18 1 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD : "I will sing to the LORD , for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea. 2 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God and I will exalt him. 3 The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name..."   etc... Here's where I find the humor: God tells Moses that he has never revealed himself as "The Lord" to anyone before Moses...So its a 'new' way of relating to God...a new name... He(God) delivers his people from slavery and they sing this song..(Ex15:1-18)...a new song of praise relating to a newly revealed identity of God... THE VERY FIRST CONTEMPORARY  WORSHIP SONG...
