Cheaters Never Prosper...Or Do They?

As I'm preparing for a word I'm to speak soon, and I'm studying through my talk relating to my blog post on "Slayer"... I hear

"Cheat codes."

And it gets me to thinking.

Hmm...Cheat Codes.

Well, let's explore this a sec.

In relation to video games, Cheat codes are for those who want to advance quickly without having to actually learn the game...without actually having to struggle through the battles.  While it is CHEATING, and normally I would be adverse to skipping out on the process, I can see how this is beneficial.

Don't hate. You know at some point you have pulled out that owner's manual looking for a hint only to find just enough info to piss you off.

I mean

COME ON!!

Help a gamer out!! JEEZ!!

And! If you think about it...the writers of the games come up with these codes...well...writers and hackers, lol.

ANYWHO!!

So! For the sake of argument, let's assume that God is the writer of this game and that many of us are stuck on a certain level with a particular enemy that has us blocked.

We. Are. Stuck.

Like....STUCK - stuck.

So, in a stroke of genius, we refer to the manual....only to find JUST enough info on how to basically maneuver the maps...so it causes a frustration in us that drives us to dig deeper until, at GLORIOUS last, we find the CHEAT CODES.

Using these codes we can easily conquer this enemy OR completely by-pass it altogether.

So, What IF.

What IF time is running out in this game and we only have a set amount of this precious time in which to defeat this foe to reach the destination and save the world.

What IF every second counts, and the enemy knows it?

What IF there are cheat codes that are available to those who are not ok with being stuck.

What IF we read the manual and it doesn't seem to give us enough information on the surface?

What IF we ask Holy Spirit to "counsel" us on how to read this manual effectively...?

What IF we have revelations?

What IF we test it out?

What IF, armed with this new info, we can easily defeat this foe?

What IF we can avoid this battle altogether?

What IF?

Hmm.. Food for thought.
